How many people make resolutions year after year just to fail miserably within the first week or two?! I'm no expert, but I think setting yourself up for failure generally isn't the best idea.
This year, let's try something new. After all, 2020 does have a different ring to it, does't it?! This year, let's set intentions for ourselves to act as guidelines in our lives. How the heck is that any different, you ask? Let's take some common 'resolutions' and transform them to the nicer, more achievable version - the intention.
I AM GOING TO LOSE 10 LBS.
I am going to eat more healthfully throughout the week. I will shop on Sundays and stock up on the items I need to be successful.
I AM GOING TO SAVE MORE MONEY.
I am going to get rid of cable and instead get a streaming service which will save $100 per month.
I AM GOING TO STRESS LESS.
I am going to commit to working out or doing a meditation before bed Monday - Friday.
Ok, you get the picture. Take these big, general, overwhelming concepts and break them down into bite-sized, more manageable and tangible thoughts.
Now go ahead, intend away. We believe in you!
